More than 43,000 new cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the United States

The number of detected cases of coronavirus in the United States has increased by 43,694 in the past 24 hours, and 506 more patients with confirmed disease have died, according to Johns Hopkins University, which summarizes data from federal and local authorities, as well as media and other public sources.

A day earlier, health officials in the U.S. recorded 62,062 cases of coronavirus infection and 741 deaths.

In total, more than 30.2 million cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the United States since the COVID-19 epidemic began, and 549,335 patients diagnosed with the coronavirus have died.
