The U.S. president will also touch on China and Russia in a joint videoconference
U.S. President Joe Biden will participate in a video conference with EU leaders on Thursday. The two sides will try to rebuild relations after four difficult years with President Donald Trump.
The White House said in a statement that Biden “will discuss with European Union leaders his desire to revitalize U.S.-EU relations, join efforts to fight pandemics and climate change, and deepen the world’s largest trade and investment relationship.”
He will also touch on China and Russia in conversation with the leaders of the 27 EU countries, who welcomed his presidency as an opportunity to increase attention to EU priorities on human rights and global warming.
