There’s a new storm brewing in Madison County, Alabama and it’s name is Baby Roe.
In a recent decision in Madison Co, Alabama, a court has awarded estate rights to a fetus in a case brought against the Alabama Women’s Center by plaintiff Ryan Mager and his attorney Bret Helms.
The fetus, aborted at six weeks, was named “Baby Roe” and was a co- plaintiff (along with Mager) against the defendants Alabama Women’s Center and the pharmaceutical company producing the medication used in the procedure.
In an obvious reference to the landmark Roe vs Wade Supreme Court decision, Helms stated he believes the case has the potential to “create lasting legal precedent”.
The case will most likely be appealed and may move through the appellate courts to eventually wind up at the Supreme Court.
Should this happen, the case of “Baby Roe” could ultimately serve as the vehicle that so called “pro life” conservatives have been seeking to overturn Roe vs Wade since Kavanaugh’s appointment to the SC.
The repercussions of this Madison County decision would have staggering, deleterious consequences regarding the control of women’s reproductive rights by women and their doctors.
Didn’t take long, did it?
