Most Americans blame president Donald Trump and the Republicans for the ongoing government shutdown.
Fifty-five-percent of those surveyed say Trump is more responsible for the stalemate than Republicans.
Thirty-two-percent say Democrats bear more responsibility and only nine percent blame the shutdown on both sides.
The poll found that the president’s border wall proposal is deeply unpopular overall, 56-percent of Americans oppose it.
The survey also found that Trump’s disapproval rating has climbed five points since last month — 57-percent of Americans disapprove of the job he’s doing.
The increase in disapproval for the president comes mostly among white people without college degrees; 47-percent of that group now disapproves, compared to 45-percent who approve.
