Today The White House announced that Trump and Kim Jong-Un will hold a second summit at the end of February. The location
From White House statement: “Trump met with Kim Yong Chol for an hour and half, to discuss denuclearization and a second summit, which will take place near the end of February.”
Since the first summit between Chairman Kim and Donald Trump in Singapore last June, Trump has claimed a historic win in stabilizing North Korea.
Trump has said that he and Kim Jong-Un “fell in love” over letters they sent between each other.
“I was really being tough, and so was he. And we would go back and forth. And then we fell in love, okay? No, really. He wrote me beautiful letters, and they’re great letters. We fell in love,” Trump said.
In an interview with Fox & Friend, President Trump shared how much he admires how Kim’ people treat their leader. “I want my people to do the same,” Trump said.
We don’t know how travel will work for the second summit because the White House issued a directive to executive branch agencies that bars congressional travel on any government aircraft during the government shutdown without White House approval.
It would seem hypocritical that the White House would stop the Speaker of the House from visiting American troops in Afghanistan but his delegation would be allowed to travel to meet with the Korean Dictator during the government shutdown.
Twitter users noticed and find it hilarious that Melania Trump was allowed to travel on a government plane to Mar-a-Lago for the holiday weekend but Speaker Pelosi visiting military personnel in a war zone in Afghanistan is considered irresponsible.
