President Trump trashed his own intelligence officials this morning in a tweetstorm inspired by the their testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee that contradicted his foreign policy claims.
Director Dan Coats disagreed with Trump on many foreign policy issues. Coats warned the committee that ISIS has not been defeated and also said North Korea is unlikely to give up their nuclear weapons.
Coats also said Iran is not looking to produce a nuclear weapon anytime soon.
“The Intelligence people seem to be extremely passive and naive when it comes to the dangers of Iran. They are wrong! When I became President Iran was making trouble all over the Middle East, and beyond,” Trump tweeted.
Trump also didn’t believe his “Intelligence people” when they said Russia was meddling in our elections as well.
General Mattis left the administration because Trump ignored his own generals and his own intelligence community.
Trump continued: “They are testing Rockets (last week) and more, and are coming very close to the edge. There economy is now crashing, which is the only thing holding them back. Be careful of Iran. Perhaps Intelligence should go back to school!”
Perhaps Iran is now testing rockets because Trump ended the Nuclear Deal.
ISIS is not defeated, North Korea will not denuclearize, Russia is still interfering in US election and Climate change is real, but not one of Trump’s intel officials said the southern border was a national crisis and a security issue.
