American singer Beyoncé has won a record number of female Grammy awards, totaling 28, according to the ceremony organizers.
“History is making again. Beyoncé is now the singer with the most Grammy awards at 28,” the organizers said in a statement on Twitter.
The previous record for women was held by American country singer Alison Krauss, who is the recipient of 27 most prestigious music awards. Conductor Georg Solti has the largest number of awards, he has become a Grammy winner 31 times.
