The authors of the series The Witcher: Blood Origin continue to work on the show. It became known who will play the main role – and viewers may already know this actor from the TV series “Vikings” and “Game of Thrones”.
The lead role in Blood Origin will be played by Lawrence O’Fourein, who played in Game of Thrones and Vikings. The actor’s career has not been as glittering afterwards, taking part in the little-known pictures The Tablets of Fate, Black 47 and Don’t Walk Away. Perhaps after a show from Netflix the big movie studios will pay attention to him?
Either way, O’Furen will play Fiall, a certain warrior whose life is saved by his lover, but dies in the process herself. In his search for redemption, Fiall will meet an unexpected ally. Most likely, we’re referring to Ayla, the main female protagonist, played by Jodie Turner-Smith.
Recall that The Witcher: Blood Origin will show the previously unrevealed prequel of Sapkowski’s universe, and the events of the series will take place 1200 years before the main canon. The showrunners will be Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and Declan de Barra, who are familiar to viewers. It is set to premiere in 2022.
