Honor is preparing a flagship powered by Snapdragon 888

Honor’s CEO talked about future plans and the company’s new flagship. According to George Zhao, Honor is already working with Qualcomm and developing a new gadget that will represent the popular Magic line.

During a recent interview, the top executive said that the new Honor Magic smartphone will get a Snapdragon 888. The company also plans to install improved cameras and processing algorithms, which Qualcomm and Google had a hand in creating. As a result, the company will aim to surpass the HUAWEI Mate and P series smartphones.

George Zhao also noted that Honor’s separation from HUAWEI was conducted in a respectful manner. A special event was held to mark Honor’s transformation into an independent company, with HUAWEI CEO Zhen Zhengfei giving a farewell speech.

Honor is now in talks with AMD and Intel about the upcoming development of laptops in the Honor MagicBook lineup. The company’s executives shared information about moving to a new office, expanding the team, and conducting independent research and development.
