Six months before the expected presentation of the new iPhones famous insider Max Weinbach shared information about the future devices, which was voiced by the author of the popular YouTube channel EverythingApplePro. Most of the details about the appearance, but there is also information about the functions of smartphones.
The iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max are claimed to come in a new matte black color, reminiscent of that of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. Max Weinbach also said that Apple is experimenting with an orange or rather even bronze color, but it is unlikely that this option will go into production. According to him, the company is now actively trying to eliminate the excessive marking of the sides of stainless steel, using a special coating for this purpose.
The insider assures that the main camera unit will not be completely flat, as previously reported, but the lenses will stick out noticeably less. At the same time the overall thickness of the module will be noticeably less. The report talks about a significantly redesigned portrait mode, which will rely more on the LiDAR sensor to more accurately detect the edges of objects. In addition, the new iPhones will also have portrait mode when recording video.
According to Weinbach, iOS will feature a new “image stabilization correction” mode designed to automatically detect and keep an object in focus while recording video. It is unclear whether this feature will be exclusive to new models or it will be equipped with the smartphones of previous generations.
Finally, the insider assures that Apple will not abandon the release of a compact 5.4-inch iPhone, despite the low popularity of the iPhone 12 mini.
